Perfect for weeknight desserts, holiday gatherings, or whenever you’re craving a warm homemade treat.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Apple Filling

  • 4 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Cobbler Topping

  • 1½ cups Bisquick mix
  • ¾ cup milk
  • Ground cinnamon, optional for dusting

Equipment

  • 2 mixing bowls
  • Air fryer (basket or oven-style)
  • 7-inch round baking pan or 4 (7-ounce) ramekins

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin, even pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, water, melted butter, and lemon juice. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together the Bisquick mix and milk until a thick batter forms.
  4. Lightly grease a 7-inch baking pan or ramekins.
  5. Spread the apple mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Spoon or pour the cobbler batter over the apples, spreading gently to cover most of the surface.
  7. If desired, lightly dust the top with ground cinnamon.
  8. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
  9. Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook for 15–20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  10. Carefully remove the cobbler and allow it to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  11. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • Granny Smith apples provide a tart flavor, while Honeycrisp apples offer natural sweetness.
  • Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model.
  • If the topping browns too quickly, loosely cover it with foil during the last few minutes of cooking.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the topping before air frying.
  • Best served fresh and warm.
