Ingredients
Scale
For the Apple Filling
- 4 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Cobbler Topping
- 1½ cups Bisquick mix
- ¾ cup milk
- Ground cinnamon, optional for dusting
Equipment
- 2 mixing bowls
- Air fryer (basket or oven-style)
- 7-inch round baking pan or 4 (7-ounce) ramekins
Instructions
- Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin, even pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, water, melted butter, and lemon juice. Toss until evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the Bisquick mix and milk until a thick batter forms.
- Lightly grease a 7-inch baking pan or ramekins.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Spoon or pour the cobbler batter over the apples, spreading gently to cover most of the surface.
- If desired, lightly dust the top with ground cinnamon.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the pan in the air fryer basket and cook for 15–20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Carefully remove the cobbler and allow it to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- Granny Smith apples provide a tart flavor, while Honeycrisp apples offer natural sweetness.
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model.
- If the topping browns too quickly, loosely cover it with foil during the last few minutes of cooking.
- For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the topping before air frying.
- Best served fresh and warm.
