- 2 large apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work great
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Core and slice the apples into fry-shaped pieces.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each apple slice first in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with panko breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
- Arrange the coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
