Description

Delightful and moist Apple Bread, perfect for any occasion, packed with fresh apple flavors and warm spices.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely diced apple
  • 2 cups flour (spelt
  • white
  • or oat)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 3 1/2 tbsp oil or applesauce
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, oil (or applesauce), and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in nuts or raisins. This bread stays fresh for several days and also freezes well.
