This Apple Cider Sangria with Prosecco is a refreshing and festive drink perfect for autumn gatherings. With flavors of fresh citrus, spiced cider, and bubbles from the Prosecco, it’s a delightful twist on traditional sangria.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups apple cider
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 ounces fresh orange juice
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 810 fresh thyme sprigs
  • 36 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 apples diced
  • 24 Tablespoons Bourbon optional but recommended
  • 1 bottle Prosecco

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine apple cider, lemon juice, and orange juice.
  2. Add the sliced orange, thyme sprigs, cinnamon sticks, and diced apples.
  3. If using, stir in the bourbon for an extra kick.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Just before serving, add the Prosecco and stir gently.
  6. Serve in glasses filled with ice and garnish with additional apple or orange slices if desired.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the level of sweetness by adding more or less cider. This sangria can be prepared a few hours in advance for optimal flavor.
