Description

This Banana Cream Pie with Pudding is a delightful dessert featuring layers of creamy vanilla pudding, ripe bananas, and a fluffy whipped topping, all nestled in a golden pie crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 (9 inch) baked pie crust
  • 3 medium bananas
  • divided
  • 2 ½ cups cold milk
  • 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups frozen whipped topping
  • thawed
  • divided

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cold milk and the instant vanilla pudding mix. Whisk for about 2 minutes until smooth and thickened.
  2. Fold in 1 cup of the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well combined.
  3. Slice 2 of the bananas and layer them in the bottom of the baked pie crust.
  4. Pour the pudding mixture over the sliced bananas in the crust.
  5. Slice the remaining banana and arrange it on top of the pudding layer.
  6. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the top of the pie.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the pie to set.

Notes

For best results, use ripe bananas but not overly brown ones. This pie is best enjoyed within a day or two of making.
