Description

This BEST EVER Chicken and Rice Casserole is a creamy, hearty meal that’s perfect for any occasion. Easy to prepare and full of flavor, it’s sure to become a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 23 cups cooked/shredded chicken or diced cooked chicken
  • 1 package Lipton Onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cups minute rice uncooked
  • salt/pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, Lipton onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, water, and uncooked minute rice. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add vegetables such as peas or carrots to enhance the dish. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
