- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed (110g) brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 medium apples (about 300g)

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar

- 2–3 tablespoons (30-45ml) whole milk
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat and continue to cook until it turns a golden brown color and starts to smell nutty, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the brown butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before preparing the glaze.
- For the glaze, in a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Drizzle the cinnamon glaze over the cooled blondies, slice, and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can add chopped nuts or raisins to the batter. Ensure the butter is browned properly for the best taste.
