½ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon table salt

1 large egg

1 large egg yolk

1 tablespoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
