- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter cold and cubed
- 1/3 cup dry white wine
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg white for brushing
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the cold cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the white wine and egg until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Wrap around cannoli forms and seal the edges with egg white.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
