Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg white for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the cold cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the white wine and egg until the dough comes together.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Wrap around cannoli forms and seal the edges with egg white.
  6. Fry in hot oil until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
