Description

This Cheeseburger Casserole is a hearty and delicious twist on the classic cheeseburger, perfect for dinner or a potluck.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion – finely chopped; 6 ounces
  • 2 teaspoons Diamond Crystal kosher salt – or 1 teaspoon of any other salt
  • including Morton kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic – minced
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup unsweetened ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the ground beef.
  3. Cook until browned, then drain any excess fat.
  4. Add the chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and garlic; cook until the onion is translucent.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
  6. Combine the beef mixture with the mayo mixture and stir well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until heated through.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
