- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion – finely chopped; 6 ounces
- 2 teaspoons Diamond Crystal kosher salt – or 1 teaspoon of any other salt
- including Morton kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic – minced
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup unsweetened ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the ground beef.
- Cook until browned, then drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and garlic; cook until the onion is translucent.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
- Combine the beef mixture with the mayo mixture and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until heated through.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
