Description

This Cheesy Ground Beef and Rice Casserole is a comforting, hearty dish packed with flavor. It’s easy to prepare and perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk or beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a different flavor twist, try adding diced bell peppers or substituting the cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken soup.
