Ingredients
- lean ground beef
- Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes

- cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup

- milk or heavy cream

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add finely diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- If using canned cream soup, stir it into the beef mixture along with milk or heavy cream. Mix well.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the beef mixture, and half of the cheese.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining potatoes, beef mixture, and cheese. Season each layer with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
