Description
Savory Chicken Marsala features tender chicken breasts sautéed to perfection and served with a rich mushroom and Marsala wine sauce.

- 2 large Open Nature® Air Chilled Skinless Boneless Chicken Breasts
- about 1.5 pounds
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- plus more if needed
- 3 tablespoons butter
- divided
- 10 ounces Cremini mushrooms
- sliced
- 1 large Shallot
- finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic
- minced
- 1 cup dry Marsala wine
- 1 cup O Organics® Chicken Broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup chopped parsley
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides and coat them lightly with flour.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and the sliced mushrooms. Sauté until they are browned and have released their moisture.
- Add the shallot and garlic to the mushrooms, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until soft and fragrant.
- Pour in the Marsala wine, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the chicken is heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, consider adding a splash of lemon juice to the sauce or serving it with a side of pasta.
