- 1/2 cup unsalted butter

- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar

- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, toss the chopped apple with the light brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Fold the apple mixture into the batter until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon for topping, and sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix the confectioners’ sugar, ground cinnamon, and water until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
Notes
For best results, use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for a balance of sweetness and tartness.
