Description

  • 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon for filling
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 1 tbsp milk or cream for glaze
  • plus more as needed
  • 0.5 tsp alcohol-free vanilla for glaze

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together warm milk, softened butter, and egg.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Arrange the pieces in a baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla until smooth.
