Description

Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Roll-Ups are a delightful twist on traditional French toast, perfect for a sweet breakfast or dessert treat. These roll-ups are filled with cinnamon sugar goodness and are easy to make!


Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread (white or brioche work best)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter
  • melted

Instructions

  1. Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin to make them easier to roll.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  4. Take a slice of bread, dip it in the egg mixture, then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture, and roll it up tightly.
  5. Repeat the process for all bread slices and place them seam side down in a greased baking dish.
  6. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle more cinnamon sugar on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving with maple syrup or powdered sugar on top.

Notes

For an extra kick, try adding some cream cheese or fruit inside the roll-ups before baking.
