Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 8 large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cups chopped peaches fresh or frozen
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs optional

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat for frying.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix chopped peaches, light brown sugar, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  4. Flatten each biscuit and place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and a spoonful of the peach mixture in the center. Fold over and seal properly.
  5. Carefully lower the donuts into hot oil, cooking on each side until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain.
  7. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla to create a glaze. Drizzle over warm donuts.
  8. If desired, sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs before serving.

Notes

Ensure oil is at the right temperature for frying to achieve a crispy texture. Fresh peaches are preferred for better flavor, but frozen can be used when not in season.
