- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup full-fat or 2% cottage cheese
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or chives
- 2 tablespoons whole milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of butter.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs together until well mixed, then stir in the cottage cheese, salt, pepper, and optional herbs or chives.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Melt the remaining butter in a skillet over medium heat and lightly sauté the egg mixture for about 2 minutes until the edges start to set.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are fully set and lightly golden on top.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm, optionally drizzling with cream for extra richness.
Notes
For added texture, make sure to use large curd cottage cheese. Adjust seasoning according to your taste preference.
