- 1 pound ground sausage (mild or spicy)
- 8 ounces cream cheese

- 1 and ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 and ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage and softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Add the flour, baking powder, salt, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the sausage balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each ball.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These sausage balls can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just bake them straight from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
