- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, combine the water and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the flour and salt until the mixture forms a ball.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Do not open the oven door during baking.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Once the cream puffs are cool, cut them in half and fill them with the whipped cream mixture.
