This Creamy Kielbasa Broccoli Skillet combines tender penne pasta with flavorful kielbasa, fresh broccoli, and a rich cheddar cheese sauce for a satisfying one-pan meal.

- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 2 cups (182 g) fresh broccoli florets quartered
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 ring (13.9 ounces) kielbasa cut into ¼-inch slices
- 1 small yellow onion finely diced (about ½ cup)
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1 ½ cups (367.5 g) whole milk
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 ½ cups (169.5 g) mild cheddar cheese shredded
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Add the broccoli florets during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced kielbasa to the pot and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together the whole milk and cornstarch until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pot, stirring to combine.
- Add the cooked penne and broccoli back into the pot. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a spicy kick, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes when cooking the kielbasa. This dish can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
