- 1 lbs Penne pasta uncooked
- 2 tablespoon Olive oil
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 ½ cups Heavy cream
- ½ cup Milk or half and half
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
- ½ teaspoon Chili flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ cup Pesto
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the heavy cream and milk, stirring well to combine. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chili flakes, season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta and pesto to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with low-fat milk. Add cooked chicken or vegetables for extra protein and nutrients.
