Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Penne pasta uncooked
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 ½ cups Heavy cream
  • ½ cup Milk or half and half
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • ½ teaspoon Chili flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Pesto

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the heavy cream and milk, stirring well to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chili flakes, season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and pesto to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half of the heavy cream with low-fat milk. Add cooked chicken or vegetables for extra protein and nutrients.
