Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, large egg, and 1 teaspoon of kosher salt. Add the chicken tenders and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper and oregano for added flavor.
- Heat the neutral oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge each piece in the flour mixture, making sure to coat evenly.

- Use a slotted spoon to remove the tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Season with a pinch of kosher salt.
