- 1 cup raw almonds or peanuts
- toasted
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp melted dark chocolate for drizzling
- 1 tbsp toasted coconut flakes for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the pitted Medjool dates, toasted almonds or peanuts, cocoa powder, and sea salt. Process until the mixture is smooth and sticky.
- Transfer the mixture to a lined baking dish and press it down to form an even layer. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Once set, cut into bars or squares. Optionally, drizzle the bars with melted dark chocolate and sprinkle toasted coconut flakes on top before serving.
Notes
For added texture, consider using a mix of nuts. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less cocoa powder depending on your taste preference.
