- ¼ cup bourbon

- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and tossing them in cornstarch, salt, and pepper until well-coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Mix together chicken broth, soy sauce, apple juice, ketchup, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, ground ginger, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
