- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the apple chunks, water, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft, about 20-30 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mash the apples to your desired consistency using a potato masher or fork.
