- 1 lb brioche cut into 1-inch cubes
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups half and half
- 2 1/2 cups peaches peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch thick wedges

- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter chilled and cut into small pea-sized pieces
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt until well combined.
- Add the brioche cubes to the egg mixture and gently fold in the peaches until evenly distributed.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon for the crumble topping until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top of the French toast bake.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and the custard is set.
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes
