Description
Elderberry Syrup is a delicious and immune-boosting tonic that combines the natural sweetness of honey with the antioxidant-rich elderberries. Perfect for drizzling over pancakes or adding to tea.

- 3 cups water
- 1 cup fresh elderberries
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
- 1 cup honey
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the water, elderberries, cinnamon stick, cloves, and minced ginger.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the mixture is reduced by half.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl.
- Stir in the honey until fully dissolved. Allow to cool completely before transferring to a clean bottle.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. You can also freeze it for longer storage.
