Description

This homemade Focaccia Bread is soft, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion. Topped with mozzarella and Parmesan, it’s a delightful addition to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the flour, salt, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, basil, and black pepper to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough.
  6. Let the dough rest for another 20 minutes, then bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serve warm.
