These Football Blossom Cookies are a fun and festive treat that combines the classic flavors of peanut butter and chocolate, perfect for game day celebrations.

- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Footballs
- 24 chocolate covered almonds or more
- 1/2 cup white candy melts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add in the egg and mix until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Place the dough balls on a lined baking sheet and press a chocolate covered almond into the center of each ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- While baking, melt the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling the melted candy melts over the top.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
For added decoration, use contrasting colors of candy melts to create the football laces on top of each cookie.
