Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cherries
  • pitted (~2 lbs)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tsp. lime juice
  • freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves completely, creating a simple syrup.
  2. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool. Once cooled, add the pitted cherries, lime juice, and kosher salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the cherry mixture into a shallow pan and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals.
  4. Once fully frozen, scoop the sorbet into bowls and enjoy!

Notes
