- 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons dried Italian herb seasoning
- 6 (4 ounce) chicken breast cutlets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- fresh parsley
- for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, and Italian herb seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken cutlets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, then return the chicken cutlets to the skillet.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, basting the chicken with the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
