Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian herb seasoning
  • 6 (4 ounce) chicken breast cutlets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • fresh parsley
  • for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken cutlets with salt, pepper, and Italian herb seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken cutlets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, then return the chicken cutlets to the skillet.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, basting the chicken with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
