- 3 Peaches
- pitted and sliced
- 1 ½ inch Piece Ginger
- peeled and sliced
- ½ Cup Cane Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 5 Cups Cold Water
- For Serving: Ice cubes
- Fresh cut lemon slices
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, ginger, cane sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Add the fresh squeezed lemon juice and the cold water to the strained peach-ginger mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh cut lemon slices.
Notes
For a stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger steep longer. You can also use sparkling water for a fizzy version.
