Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (or any cheese of your preference)
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, green bell pepper, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until fully browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Season the mixture with garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Divide the beef mixture evenly among the hoagie rolls. Top each with a slice of provolone cheese.
  5. Place the assembled hoagies under a broiler on high for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy your incredible Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks!

Notes

Feel free to customize the toppings with jalapeños, different cheeses, or additional seasoning for an extra kick.
