Pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions
Prep Equipment & Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Butter Compound: In a small bowl, combine softened butter, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and chives.
Assemble Melts: Arrange 24 crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Layer Toppings: Fold or place a slice of ham onto each cracker. Top each with a piece of Swiss cheese. Lightly spread or dollop the seasoned butter mixture over the cheese.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes (or up to 15 minutes), until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden, and the crackers are crisp.
Cool & Serve: Remove from oven and let cool for 2 to 3 minutes before transferring to a platter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with mustard for dipping.
Notes
Make-Ahead: Assemble the cracker melts on the baking sheet ahead of time, cover tightly, and refrigerate until ready to bake.
Storage: Allow leftovers to cool completely for 30 minutes before transferring to an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 4 days.
Freezing: Freeze assembled uncooked or baked melts in a single layer on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
Reheating: Reheat stored melts in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 10 minutes to restore cracker crispness and melt the cheese.
Dietary Adaptations: Use certified gluten-free crackers, or substitute ham with turkey, roasted vegetables, or plant-based meats/cheeses.
