Ingredients

  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • ½ cup cane sugar
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • 23 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 tsp cloves
  • 23 tablespoon peeled and chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract or vanilla paste
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cane sugar, dark brown sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon sticks, cloves, fresh ginger, and ground nutmeg (if using) to the sugar mixture. Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract or vanilla paste. Let the mixture cool completely.
  4. Once cool, strain the mixture into a jar or bottle to remove the solids.
  5. To serve, mix the pumpkin spice syrup with cold milk and ice in a glass. Stir well and enjoy your Iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte!
