- 1½ cups all-purpose flour

- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches with 1 cup of granulated sugar, water, and lemon juice. Stir gently and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Melt the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish in the preheated oven.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
- Spoon the peach mixture over the batter evenly.
