Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup butter
- at room temperature
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 medium-sized eggs
- at room temperature
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk until a smooth batter forms.
- Divide the batter in half. To one half, mix in cocoa powder and additional milk until well combined.

- Finally, pour the remaining vanilla batter over the chocolate layer. Use a knife to swirl the two batters together for a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
