A spooktacular twist on classic mac and cheese, this Monster Halloween Mac and Cheese is quick, creamy, and perfect for family dinners, bringing a fun touch to your Halloween festivities.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • edible candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and whisk in the flour until smooth; cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in the whole milk and bring to a simmer; stir until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sharp Cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste, then fold in the cooked macaroni.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and top with additional cheese if desired, then bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Once baked, decorate with edible candy eyes to create a monster effect before serving.

Notes
