- 3 lbs Beef Chuck Roast
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 3 cups Low-Sodium Beef Broth
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 large Yellow Onion
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 6 Crusty Hoagie Rolls
- 12 slices Provolone Cheese
- 1 bag Frozen French Fries
Instructions
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the beef on all sides until browned.
- Transfer the seared beef to a slow cooker and add beef broth, soy sauce, sliced onion, and minced garlic.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
- Once the beef is cooked, shred it with two forks and return it to the slow cooker to absorb more flavor.
- Toast the hoagie rolls and then fill each with shredded beef and top with provolone cheese.
- Melt the cheese under a broiler or microwave until bubbly.
- Serve sandwiches with a side of crispy French fries and the flavorful au jus for dipping.
