Description

A hearty and delicious pasta bake layered with ground beef, rich spaghetti sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces mostaccioli
  • or similar size pasta
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • chopped
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
  • drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the mostaccioli pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and mushrooms; mix well.
  5. In a large baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and meat sauce mixture; stir until evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
