- 8 ounces mostaccioli
- or similar size pasta
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 onion
- chopped
- 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
- drained
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the mostaccioli pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent; drain excess fat.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce and mushrooms; mix well.
- In a large baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and meat sauce mixture; stir until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
