Description
This delightful Peach and Nectarine Jam blends the sweetness of peaches with the aromatic flavors of nectarines, creating a vibrant spread perfect for toasts or desserts.

- 1 kilo peaches
- 1 kilo nectarines (minus 330 grams stones
- total net weight 1670 grams)
- 1550 grams sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon zest
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 4 fragrant geranium leaves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 – 7 cloves
- 1 sachet (25 grams) fruit pectin
Instructions
- Wash and pit the peaches and nectarines, then chop them into small pieces.
- In a large pot, combine the chopped fruits, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, geranium leaves, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring frequently.
- Once dissolved, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, skimming off any foam.
- Stir in the fruit pectin and boil for an additional 5 minutes until the jam thickens.
- Remove from heat, discard the geranium leaves, cinnamon stick, and cloves, then pour the hot jam into sterilized jars.
- Seal the jars immediately and allow them to cool completely before storing them in a cool, dark place.
Notes
Ensure that the jars are properly sterilized to prevent spoilage. Feel free to adjust the sugar level to fit your taste preference.
