Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups fresh peaches
  • peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter and egg, mixing until crumbly.
  4. Press half of this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  5. In another bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crumb layer, then top with sliced peaches.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg or substitute some of the peaches with other summer fruits like blueberries or raspberries.
