Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast, letting it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Mix in sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt until well combined.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the peach filling by tossing peaches with brown sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Once dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread softened butter for the filling, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Distribute the peach filling evenly over the cinnamon-sugar layer.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
For best results, ensure the milk is not too hot, as it may kill the yeast. You can also substitute canned peaches for fresh ones, just be sure to drain them well.
