Ingredients
- Unsalted butter
- Brown sugar
- Granulated sugar
- Creamy peanut butter
- Egg
- Vanilla extract
- All-purpose flour
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Granulated sugar
- Mini Reese’s peanut butter cups
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Candy eyeballs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the creamy peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls and coat them in granulated sugar before placing them on the baking sheet.
- Press a mini Reese’s peanut butter cup into the center of each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
- While the cookies are baking, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave or over a double boiler.
- Once the cookies have cooled, drizzle the melted chocolate to create spider legs and place candy eyeballs on top.
Notes
For a more intense peanut butter flavor, feel free to use crunchy peanut butter. Adjust the baking time if your cookie size varies.
