Description

Delight in these Pecan Pie Bars, a delicious twist on a classic dessert, combining a buttery shortbread crust with a gooey, sweet pecan filling.

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Salt
  • All-purpose flour
  • White sugar
  • Light brown sugar
  • Eggs
  • Corn syrup
  • Salt
  • Vanilla extract
  • Pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add salt and flour, mixing until just combined.
  3. Press the crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan evenly.
  4. Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. In another bowl, combine white sugar, light brown sugar, eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  6. Fold in the pecans until they are evenly distributed throughout the filling mixture.
  7. Pour the filling over the baked crust and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly bubbly.
  9. Allow the bars to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
