- 1/2 tbsp oil
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 small onion diced
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 8 oz can whole water chestnuts drained diced
- 1/4 cup green onions diced
- 1 head butter lettuce
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and grated ginger; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the diced water chestnuts and green onions; mix well and remove from heat.
- To serve, spoon the chicken mixture into individual lettuce leaves and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to adjust the sauce ingredients to your taste. Adding minced garlic can enhance the flavor further.
