- 1 (13.8-oz.) can refrigerated pizza crust dough (such as Pillsbury)
- 4 1/2 ounces low moisture part skim mozzarella
- shredded (about 1 cup plus 2 Tbsp.)
- 3/4 cup pizza sauce
- plus more for serving
- 6 tablespoons mini pepperoni (from 1 [5-oz.] pkg.)
- 1 1/2 ounces Parmesan cheese
- grated (about 6 Tbsp.)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the pizza crust dough packaging.
- Roll out the pizza crust dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the dough into skull shapes using a skull cookie cutter, or simply cut them into squares for a spooky vibe.
- On half of the dough shapes, place a tablespoon of pizza sauce, a sprinkle of mozzarella, some mini pepperoni, and a bit of Parmesan cheese.
- Sprinkle with dried Italian seasoning.
- Top with the remaining dough shapes, pinching the edges to seal.
- Place them on a baking sheet and bake according to the pizza crust dough instructions or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a more intense flavor, add your favorite toppings inside each skull. You can also use a pizza cutter to cut the dough shapes if a cookie cutter is not available.
