Description

- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 15 oz canned pumpkin purée (1 can)
- ¾ cup unsalted butter (1½ sticks)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13×9 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the pumpkin purée and melted butter, and mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the bars are baking, prepare the frosting by beating the softened cream cheese and butter together until creamy.
- Add the vanilla extract and gradually mix in the powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Once the bars have cooled completely, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, top with chopped nuts or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
