  • 4 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and dark chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in the granulated sugar, followed by the whisked eggs.
  4. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, spices, and cornstarch until smooth.
  7. Carefully pour the pumpkin mixture over the brownie layer.
  8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the pumpkin layer is set and a toothpick comes out clean from the brownie layer.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
